About us
Lion of Leisure is a small, independent kids clothing brand, owned by fashion designers Matthew Grove (UK) & Saskia Solberg (NL), founded in 2013.
Each apparel product we produce is carefully and lovingly printed by hand and constructed from 100% organic Cotton, as certified by The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). That means no chemicals or pesticides were used in the growing of the cotton.
All our illustrations are screen-printed with biodegradable water-based inks that are not harmful to you, to us or to the environment.
Each T-shirt and baby suit comes packaged in a re-usable, 100% pure cotton bag.
The Lion of Leisure product range is considered gender-neutral and non-seasonal, with some new designs being added to the collection twice a year.
Our brand ethos is founded on small scale, local craftsmanship, hand finished quality and refinement with humor. We make garments for children that look and feel special with a graphic identity inspired by our own detailed animal illustrations with a humorous twist.
Although Lion of Leisure has a strong ethical point of view, buying our product will not save the world from destruction, but its' creation will not have contributed significantly to it either. We want you to feel good about our products and to feel safe giving it to your child.
Our mission is to create a children’s clothing brand that is unique, that has it’s own humorous identity and inspires the very people who inspire us – KIDS.
The Lion of Leisure office and design studio is based in Antwerp, Belgium
